From clay workshop to plaster wall decors

From clay workshop to plaster wall decors

My journey into decorative art began unexpectedly a few years ago when I attended a clay modeling master class. What started as a casual experience quickly evolved into a deep appreciation for sculptural, tactile forms.

As a practicing interior designer, I became increasingly aware of the limited availability of distinctive, locally made wall decor in our market. This gap inspired me to explore the creation of unique, nature-inspired plaster designs.

One day, during a walk through the forest, I recognized the immense design potential found in the organic shapes of local flora and fauna. That moment of connection with nature became the foundation for my creative direction.

Each design is inspired by the natural world, carefully sketched, sculpted in modeling clay, and then cast in high-quality plaster. This process allows for consistent reproduction while preserving the handmade character of the original artwork.

The modular nature of the floral decors enables interior designers to create personalized compositions tailored to specific spaces. My design philosophy emphasizes minimalism and clarity, using a muted color palette of white, black, and soft pastels. Select black pieces are highlighted with bronze tones, adding warmth and contrast to the overall aesthetic.

I am proud of how far this journey has taken me and remain passionate about the creative process. I feel deeply that this is my path—and the creative process itself brings me the most joy.

It’s magic to see a piece of clay become an animal’s nose, eyes, and ears or a petal blossom into a flower. Each design begins with nature and ends as a carefully crafted object—transforming a moment of inspiration into decor that brings warmth, character, and story into a space.

With love for nature and creativity,

Silvija
